Beginner progression route
New players should not begin by chasing the rarest card they see. First, build a complete team. Then check whether one position group is dragging the whole squad down. Early progress comes from removing weak links, not from stacking one part of the squad.
- Claim the current active code.
- Fill every active position with a playable card.
- Compare attack, midfield, defense, and goalkeeper strength.
- Spend rerolls on the lowest group.
- Move into Cup planning once your estimate is near 93 OVR.
Mid-game route: 90 to 93 OVR
The hardest stage is often the last few points before 93. At that point, random upgrades feel tempting but can be inefficient. Use the OVR calculator, note the weakest two slots, and improve those before chasing luxury cards. This is also the stage where goalkeeper and fullback upgrades can matter more than another forward.
Post-entry route: Cup consistency
After you can enter Cups, the objective becomes repeatable wins. Keep your most reliable lineup stable. A new card is worth using only if it improves the whole Cup run, supports a Premium Captain path, or raises the squad toward Cup Player rewards.
