What to do before your next run

The game is in early beta and updates quickly. Treat every session like a short checklist: claim the current reward, repair the weakest position, then decide whether Cup Mode, Premium Captains, or quests should be your next target.

01

Claim the verified code

The current public game description lists code DOUBLE during the 2X Rewards Weekend. Do not waste time on unverified code lists.

02

Raise the weakest line

Cup progress is blocked by total squad strength. A single low goalkeeper, defender, or midfielder can keep a good attack below the 93 OVR gate.

03

Check 93 OVR readiness

Enter your rough position ratings and see whether your squad is Cup-ready before spending rerolls, refreshes, or event rewards.

04

Plan beyond the first Cup

The official description says Cup Players can be unlocked after five Cup wins, with 105+ OVR stand out cards as the prize path.

How to progress in Build A Soccer Squad without wasting rerolls

Build A Soccer Squad is built around collecting players from different eras, improving a full team, and pushing that team into tougher reward loops. The mistake many new players make is treating every high-rated card as an automatic upgrade. In practice, your next useful move depends on the weakest position in the squad you actually use.

Start with a stable eleven. If your attack is already strong but your defenders sit far behind, a new striker may not move you toward Cup Mode at all. If your goalkeeper is low, one keeper upgrade can be more valuable than several flashy attackers because it raises the squad floor. The goal before Cup Mode is not to collect the coolest card; it is to push the whole active team above the 93 OVR entry gate.

Recommended early route

  1. Claim the current verified code before doing quests or spending refreshes.
  2. Build a complete team so every active slot has a usable card.
  3. Use the OVR calculator to identify the lowest position group.
  4. Spend rerolls only after you know the exact weak line.
  5. When you reach 93 OVR, shift focus from random upgrades to Cup consistency.

When to chase Premium Captains

Premium Captains are useful when they line up with teams you can realistically complete. If a Captain route requires cards you are nowhere near collecting, keep it as a later goal. If you are close to finishing a team from the listed captain era, the Captain route can become more valuable than another isolated upgrade because it gives your account a clear build direction.

Player questions

Short answers for common Build A Soccer Squad searches

What is the best thing to do first?

Claim the active code, then build a full squad. Do not spend rerolls until you know which position is blocking your OVR progress.

How do I unlock Cup Mode?

The public description says you must be 93 OVR or higher to join a Cup. Use your best team, not your most interesting card collection.

Are 105+ OVR Cup Players worth chasing?

Yes, once you can consistently enter and win Cups. They are part of the clearest post-93 OVR reward path currently listed.

Should I chase attackers first?

Only if attack is your weakest line. If defense, midfield, or goalkeeper is behind, fixing those positions usually helps Cup readiness faster.

Is DOUBLE the only code?

It is the only code verified from the official description at this check. Other claimed codes should be treated as unverified until confirmed.

What is the next update?

The official description points to Limitbreaker Card Quests. The exact requirements still need in-game confirmation after release.
